Marie M. Graytock, 88, Simpson, died Monday evening at her daughter’s residence in Marion, Ohio. Her husband was the late Andrew Graytock Sr.

Born in Richmondale, she was the daughter of the late Leo and Mary Reposh Borosky. Two of her loves, besides her husband Andy, were her family and her church. Marie was a devoted mother, driving her three children to Carbondale parochial schools for more than 26 years, her son to classes for athletic training and paramedic courses and her daughters to softball and basketball practices and games, to high school band, drum and bugle events and art classes.

A lifelong member of St. Michael’s Church, Simpson, she was a member of the Confraternity of Christian Women. She enjoyed hand-making sleeping bags for the homeless for the Crazy Quilts Project. Marie worked with her mother preparing potato pancake batter for the annual St. Michael’s Church Block Party and helped make quilts for the annual Quilt Bingo. She worked tirelessly cleaning the church and ironing the altar cloths until the age of 85. She was an avid crafter known for her meticulous sewing projects.

She was a charter member of the Fell Twp. Lioness Club, accompanied her husband, Andy, to all State and National Conferences especially when he was elected District Governor of 14-H Lions. For her dedicated work with the Lions, she was awarded the Melvin Jones Fellowship. She enjoyed her work as a school bus driver transporting special education children to school in Scranton.

Surviving are a son, Andrew M. (Antoinette) Graytock Jr., New Hampshire; two daughters, Dr. Andrea Graytock and Dr. Kathleen Graytock, Ohio; a granddaughter, Laura Graytock, Simpson; a brother, Melvin Borosky, Fell Twp.; a sister, Geraldine Maher, Connecticut; several nieces and nephews.
