Lillian Ruth Guarneri, “MaMa Lil“, 92, Carbondale, died Sunday in Wyckoff NJ. Her late husband, Anthony James Guarneri, “PaPa Tony”, died April 9. Lillian and Tony were married for 68 years and were always at each other’s side.

Born in Jessup, daughter of the late Rudolph and Anna Opiekun Gentline, she worked for many years at Weston in Archbald.
Lillian was a very special person and loved and adored by all who knew her. She was lovingly known by her grandchildren and great grandchildren as “MaMa Lil.” Kind, compassionate, loving and caring are only a few of the attributes that begin to describe Lillian. She was truly an incredible Lady.

MaMa Lil exemplified what it means to be a WIFE, a MOTHER, a GRANDMOTHER and GREAT GRANDMOTHER. She was completely devoted to her family and was a fantastic role model who showed us all how to live life as a GOOD PERSON. The family was truly blessed to have MaMa Lil in our lives. We were always very proud of her and we all aspire to follow in her footsteps and make her proud of each of us. We will remember the life lessons she taught us and will pass down our memories of her to the younger members of her family. She will be missed dearly and will be remembered always with great admiration.

Lillian, and her late husband, were devoted members of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church, Carbondale.
