Eileen M. Curcio, 77, left this world too early after a long and painful struggle with dementia. She entered into eternal peace surrounded by her family on December 24, 2020. She was born in Plainville Connecticut, the daughter of the late William and Ada Houck Burrell. Her life’s journey was raising her children. After they grew up, she cherished every moment spent with them and her beautiful grandchildren. Eileen walked with the Lord and found comfort in her close relationship with him.

Surviving are: Philip Curcio, her husband; two daughters, Dr. Lisa Curcio, Red Hook NY; Cindy Curcio-Morales and husband, Juan, Downingtown; two sons, Philip Curcio and wife Maryanne, Fell Twp.; Eric Curcio and wife, Kimberly, Limerick; grandchildren, Philip and Jacob Curcio, Paige and Keely Curcio, Niko and Mia Mancera; step-grandchildren, Zuleyka and Johncarlo  Morales; three brothers, William Burrell, Carbondale; Robert Burrell, Cassadaga NY and Joseph Burrell, Carbondale; a sister, Kathy Caporali, Carbondale; sisters-in-law, Barbara Campanella and Ann Marie Crawford, Carbondale and Felicia Baggett, Jermyn; brother-in-law, Joseph Curcio, Dunmore. She has several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her infant daughter Mary.

The funeral will be Monday from Lawrence A. Gabriel Funeral Home and Cremation Services Inc., 2 Hospital St, Carbondale with Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. in St. Rose of Lima Church. Masks and social distancing are required at the church. Entombment, Our Mother of Sorrows Cemetery, Greenfield Twp. There are no calling hours at the funeral home.
