Richard McGrantham Jr., 56, Forest City, died Monday at Hospice of the Sacred Heart, Dunmore. His wife is Judy Alexander McGrantham.
 
Born in Jersey City NJ, son of the late Richard McGrantham Sr. and Angela Marie Burns McGrantham, he served in the Army National Guard. He was a machinist who worked at Martin-Rollison Prompton Tool for 22 years and spent time at Grumman and Northrop-Grumman. Rich was an avid sports fan who enjoyed boxing and golf. He also enjoyed watching his kids participation in sports and was a youth sports coach. He was a fan of trivia and enjoyed working around the house.
 
In addition to his wife, he is survived by: sons, Richard McGrantham III and fiancé, Amanda Settles, Forest City; Damian McGrantham, Lake Ariel; James Alexander and fiancé, Cara Verrastro, Carbondale; Jeffrey Alexander and wife, April, Simpson; a foster son Evan Lisi, Forest City; a daughter, Gloriajean Reid, Scranton; grandchildren, Quintin McGrantham Petrini, Mitchell Alexander, Frank Reid, Joseph Reid and Alexis Reid; two brothers, Michael McGrantham and Glen McGrantham; a sister, Cheryl McGrantham; nephew, Anthony Constantine; nieces, Robin McGrantham, Ashley Malohosky and Desiree McGrantham.
 
The family will receive friends on Saturday from 2 pm until 5 pm at Lawrence A. Gabriel Funeral Home and Cremation Services Inc., 74 North Main St., Carbondale. Services will be held by President Charles Failing (Scranton Second Branch, Church of Jesus Christ Latter Day Saints) at 3:30 pm and by Pastor Tim Madden (Cornerstone Bible Church) at 4:30 pm. Masks and social distancing required. Please limit conversation so those in attendance have an opportunity to offer condolences. A waiting time may occur before entering the funeral home. Online condolences may be sent to the funeral home website.
 
Interment at Sandy Banks Cemetery, Greenfield Twp. at a later date.
