Margaret R. (Andidora) Galati, 98, Carbondale, passed away Friday at home. Her husband was the late Salvatore Galati.
 
Born in Carbondale, daughter of the late Phillip and Angelina (Esposito) Andidora, she was a member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, Carbondale. Margaret loved to spend time crocheting or baking for her family and friends. The family wishes to thank her caregiver, Caitlyn, Dr. Matthew Haley and staff, as well as the nurses of Traditional Home Health & Hospice.
 
Surviving are son, Carmine Galati and wife Roberta, Jessup; daughter, Annette Carlson and husband Pat, Carbondale; sister, Angela Stephens, Peckville; 5 grandchildren, Helen Hartill, Rachel Galati, Patrick, Brian, and Bianca Carlson; 2 great grandchildren, Abbey and Thomas Hartill; several nieces and nephews.
 
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by 10 siblings, Carmella Occhipinti, Frank Cerra, Mary Cerra, Rose Scotch, Jenny Cerra, Victoria Giordano, Dominick, Orlando, Anthony, and Phillip Andidora; grandson, Vincent Galati.
 
The funeral will be Wednesday from Lawrence A. Gabriel Funeral Home and Cremation Services Inc., 2 Hospital Street, Carbondale, with Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 a.m. in Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, Carbondale. Interment, Our Mother of Sorrows Cemetery, Finch Hill.
 
Friends may call Tuesday from 4 to 7 p.m. Due to Covid-19 restrictions, masks and social distancing rules will be in effect at both the funeral home and church. Conversations should be limited in order for those in attendance to have an opportunity to offer condolences. A wait time may occur before entering the funeral home.
