Lance D. McHugh, 60, Lake Ariel, died Friday at Geisinger CMC.
Born in Carbondale, son of the late William and Cora Stucker McHugh, he was a teacher in the Wayne Highlands and Western Wayne School Districts during his career. He was also a translator of the Spanish language and spent time as a cosmetologist.
Surviving are: six sisters, Terry Knolloff and husband, Terry; Sandra Muller and husband, Willie; Debbie McHugh and fiance, Willie Lloyd; Marlene Carpenter and husband, Harrison; Julia Lawson and husband, Alan; and Marla Loyd; several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by a brother-in-law, Robert Loyd.
The family will receive friends at Lawrence A. Gabriel Funeral Home and Cremation Services Inc., 74 N. Main St., Carbondale on Saturday from 2 pm until 5 pm. Online condolences may be sent to the funeral home website.
