Joseph Sweeney

Joseph Sweeney, 82, of Scranton, died Saturday at Allied Services Rehabilitation Center, Scranton.

Born in Carbondale, he was the son of the late Earl and Bertha Wiltz Sweeney.

The family thanks all of Allied’s staff who touched his life and cared for him.

He is survived by a sister-in-law, Rose Sweeney, Carbondale; nephews, James and Kenny Sweeney; and several cousins.

He was preceded in death by two brothers, Gerald and James Sweeney.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday at 11 a.m. in St. Rose of Lima Church, Carbondale. Urn interment at Our Mother of Sorrows Cemetery, Greenfield Twp.
