Mary Lil Hayslett
February 16, 2022

Jesus called Mary Lil for an appointment on Wednesday, Feb. 16, 2022.

She came to this world with her God-given talent and wisdom on Feb. 18, 1942. An educated, wise, beautiful woman and matriarch of our family, she took the utmost pride in her roles as wife, mother and grandmother. She was also a cherished friend and confidant to so many others, offering her help and guidance in any way she could. Smart as a whip and very clever, she worked throughout her life as a seamstress, country club chef, school bus (station wagon) driver, Avon representative of President’s Club acclaim, self-made businesswomen, Carbondale City councilwoman, self-published author and, of course, card reader. She was a great lady with a good heart all the way up until it finally gave out on her. She is irreplaceable and she will be immensely missed. She was truly a gift and a blessing that we are grateful to have had in our lives. We will treasure her forever.

Anyone requiring Mary Lil’s guidance at this time, please ask the cards, remember “the cards give you choices, but the choices are yours to make.”

The family would like to thank Allied Inpatient Hospice Angels and HHCP for helping Mary Lil through this difficult time.

Mary Lil is survived by her husband, Henry, who survived 58 jaw-dropping years of marriage; her three daughters, Lillian and husband, Mark; Lori and Lisa; and her three granddaughters, Shelby, Maria and Kelly.
