Joellen Conigliaro, 63, of Carbondale, died peacefully at home Friday after a brief, courageous battle with pancreatic cancer. She was loved and adored by her husband, Sam Conigliaro.
 
Born in Carbondale, daughter of the late Thomas and Patricia Barnes Horan, she passed away one month after her mom entered eternal life. Joellen recently retired after many years as a medical office administrator. She cherished time spent with family, especially her grandchildren, and enjoyed crafting, reality TV shows, and was an avid reader.
 
She is also survived by her daughter, Joy Conigliaro-Connell, Bethlehem; her son, Nick Conigliaro, Allentown; two grandchildren, Daniel and Samantha Connell; brothers, Thomas Horan and wife, Kathy, Scott Twp., and Timothy Horan and wife, Jen, Atlanta, Ga.; sisters, Kathi Bankes and husband, David, Exeter, Beth Ann Matous and husband, Rick, Scott Twp., and Suzanne Prebosnyak and partner, Vin Das, Whitehall; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her brother, Daniel; and sister, Patricia.
 
The family would like to extend its sincere gratitude to Dr. Michael Rogan, Theresa Micknick PA-C, and Judy Gretzula, RN, for their support during this difficult time.
 
Memorial contributions may be made to St. Rose in care of Restoration Project, 6 North Church St., Carbondale, PA 18407.
 
The funeral will be Tuesday with Mass of Christian Burial at 11:30 a.m. in St. Rose of Lima Church, Carbondale. Interment, Our Lady of Mount Carmel Cemetery.
 
The family will receive family and friends at church from 10 a.m. until Mass time.
