John M. Paluzzi, 82, of East Benton, passed away early Thursday morning, October 31, 2024, at Geisinger Community Medical Center, Scranton. He was the beloved husband of the late Jeanette Paluzzi, who passed away in 2017.

Born and raised in Vandling to the late Gesualdo and Aurora Malvini Paluzzi, John was a graduate of Forest City High School, Class of 1960. After graduation, he joined the United States Air Force, serving his country with pride for four years. He then pursued a career as a truck driver with various local companies, including Yellow Freight and Jones Motor Company. John was very proud to be a member of the Teamsters Union.

John will be remembered for his unconditional love for family, enduring friendships, valued wisdom, and unmistakable sense of humor. He was a trivia enthusiast, movie buff, and avid fan of the Pittsburgh Steelers and Penn State football. He enjoyed spending time playing shuffleboard and pool, activities where he shared many laughs and memorable moments.

He is survived by his son Christoper, of East Benton, and daughter, Jessica Donaldson, and her husband, Glenn, of Allentown; and four grandchildren: Mason and Rylee Donaldson, and Azalea and Dante Paluzzi.  He is also survived by his brother, Dr. Michael Paluzzi, and his wife, Melinda, of Seneca, SC; and niece, Nicole Paluzzi, her husband John Northrup, and their daughter Lilli Northrup.

John was preceded in death by his son, Joseph, in 2016, and his nephew, Michael Paluzzi, in 2003.

A Memorial Service with military honors to celebrate John’s life will be held on Saturday, November 9, 2024, at East Benton United Methodist Church, 200 Jordan Hollow Road, Dalton, Pennsylvania.
