Helen Norella, 89, Whites Crossing, died Friday, December 27, 2024, at Ellen Memorial Health Care Center, Honesdale. She was preceded in death by her husband Anthony Norella.

Born in Carbondale, daughter of the late George and Jenni Sarnoski Manarchuck, she loved spending time with her grandchildren. Helen enjoyed traveling with her husband, baking, cooking and gardening. She was an avid reader. She worked for many years in the Lakeland School District as the high school librarian.

Surviving are: three sons, Anthony Norella Jr., Idaho; Francis Norella and wife, Betty, Carbondale; Justin Norella, Carbondale; three daughters, Maria Norella, Carbondale; Michele Prebich and husband, Joseph, Carbondale; Kristina Coolican and husband, Kevin, Carbondale; 16 grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

The funeral will be Friday, January 3, 2025, from Lawrence A. Gabriel Funeral Home and Cremation Services Inc., 74 N. Main St., Carbondale with Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in Our Lady of the Rosary’s St. Rose of Lima Church, Carbondale.
