Barbara A. Foote, 65, of Mayfield, died Sunday evening at Allied Hospice, Scranton, after a brief illness. Her husband of 43 years is Donald Foote.
 
Born in Carbondale, daughter of the late Stanley and Carmella Tolerico Tomcykoski, she was a 1972 graduate of Lakeland High School and a lifelong member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Parish, Carbondale. She also worked in the garment industry.
 
The family extends its sincere appreciation to the Wright Center staff and her various doctors, Commonwealth Regional Hospital, Allied Skilled Nursing and Allied Hospice for the compassionate and loving care given to Barbara during her illness.
 
In addition to her husband, she is survived by a son, Corey Foote, Archbald, a member of the Carbondale Area faculty; three aunts, Roseann Burns, Josephine Tolerico and Sadie Tomcykoski; several cousins, nieces, nephews, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law and close friends.
 
She was preceded in death by several cousins, aunts, and uncles who she was extremely fond of.
 
The funeral will be Monday from Lawrence A. Gabriel Funeral Home and Cremation Services Inc., 74 N. Main St., Carbondale, with Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 a.m. in Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church. Interment, Our Mother of Sorrows Cemetery, Greenfield Twp.
 
Friends may call Sunday from 4 to 7 p.m. Due to COVID-19 restrictions, masks and social distancing are required. Conversations should be limited to allow those in attendance to have an opportunity to offer condolences. A waiting time may occur before entering the funeral home.

A celebration of life that includes a dinner will also be held in the spring or summer for family and friends when COVID-19 restrictions are lifted.
