Viola Tomsky, 89, Carbondale, died Monday at Moses Taylor Hospital, Scranton. Her husband was the late Raymond Tomsky.
 
Born in Carbondale, daughter of the late Bruno and Amelia Santanna Ealo, she worked as a secretary at Saul’s Motors for many years. Viola loved to travel, to play bingo, to dance and to be with family.
 
Surviving are a niece and caretaker, Gloria Perri, Greenfield Twp.; a sister-in-law, Gloria Ealo, Jermyn; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by three sisters, Gloria Pietryk, Rosalie Terranella and Carmel Ealo; one brother, Bruno Ealo II; and a niece, Debbie Cordner.
 
The funeral will be Thursday with Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. in Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church, Carbondale. The family will receive friends at the church from 10:15 a.m. until Mass time. The family kindly requests that those in attendance wear a mask. Interment, Our Mother of Sorrows Cemetery, Greenfield Twp.
