Louis A. Gonsauls Sr. September 9, 2021 Louis A. Gonsauls Sr., 92, Carbondale, died Thursday at Ellen Memorial Health Care, Honesdale. His wife was the late Audrey J. Gonsauls. Born in Waymart, son of the late Roy and Margaret Moser Gunsauls, he was an Army veteran who served during the Korean War. He worked at D&H Railroad for a number of years and was self-employed providing hauling services for a number of local businesses. He enjoyed hunting and fishing. He and his late wife enjoyed playing bingo and visiting casinos. He is survived by two sons, Louis Gonsauls Jr. and wife, Maryann, Childs; and James Gonsauls and wife, Mary, Wilkes-Barre; two daughters, Judy Radzinsky and husband, Steve, Tenn.; and Debby Rafferty, Carbondale; grandchildren, Brenda Bowling and husband, Mike; Kristal Rafferty and husband, Rian; Timothy Ignatovich and wife, Kari; Dawn Mark and husband, Dom; PJ Rafferty; Louis Gonsauls III and wife, Sam; Justin Gonsauls and wife, Rachel; Cody Gonsauls and wife, Kristie; Jimmy Gonsauls; Shania, Niki and Billy Cantrell; 21 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by brothers, Jules, Glen and James Gunsauls, Cyril Gonsauls; a sister, Jean Warfield. The funeral will be Monday from Lawrence A. Gabriel Funeral Home and Cremation Services Inc., 74 N. Main St., Carbondale. The Rev. Donald Perry, First United Methodist Church, will hold a service at 9:30 a.m. in the funeral home. Interment, Valley View Memorial Park, Scott Twp. A viewing will be held Sunday from 4 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home. Online condolences may be sent to the funeral home website. |
