Richard Joseph Brango, 94, beloved husband of the late Ursula Rose (Capizzi) Brango, passed away peacefully at home on July 24, 2022.
Born and raised in Phoenixville on November 7,1927, he was the son of the late Neil and Angelina Daddona (Brancaccio) Brango.
He was a World War II veteran, serving in the US Army. He was also a proud member of St. Anne’s Church, the Santa Anna Italian Club, American Legion Post 482, VFW Post 1564, and Friendship Fire House in Phoenixville.
Richard worked at Phoenix Building and Construction as a skilled mill and cabinet maker for many years. Later in life he worked maintenance with Ken Crest. He loved spending time with his family and friends, playing billiards, shuffleboard, and woodworking in his garage.
Surviving are sons, Neil (Melissa) Brango and Rick Brango; granddaughters, Lena Ramos, Serena Brango, Natalie Brango, Anna Marie Shoemaker, nine great grandchildren, many nieces and nephews.
Richard was preceded in death by a daughter, Angela M. Ramos, five brothers: Carl, John, Albert, Carmen Joseph, and Joseph Brango; and five sisters: Martha Fanelli, Mary Calcinore, Jean Orner, Loretta (Babe) Lombardi and Yolanda Gabriel. He was also preceded in death by three additional siblings who passed away at a young age: Carmen, Concetta Helen, and Lugrezia Brancaccio.
The family will receive friends on Monday, August 1, 2022, from 9:45 am until 11:00 am at St. Ann’s Chapel, Phoenixville with Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. Interment, St. Ann’s Cemetery.
