Marty Roe was a dedicated teacher who taught many students in Carbondale their born language of English. I was fortunate to have the chance to work for him and along side him. He treated me as an equivalent educator. I was just quoting him the other day. That’s the kind of influence he had on others; Jovial, Sympathetic, Kind. He was a gentle man. His humor and warmth are feelings I will cherish about him. My sympathy to Colette, Jeff, John, and all of the family and friends.
