Edith L. (Williams) Bellamy, 90, Jefferson Township, passed away Monday evening at Hospice of the Sacred Heart, Dunmore.  She is survived by her husband Ronald W. Bellamy. On February 14th they celebrated their 71st wedding anniversary.

Born in New York, on June 26, 1933, she was the daughter of the late Walter and Lola Shook Williams Sr.  She graduated from Damascus High School. She was a homemaker and a former member of the Harmony Workers at the Lutheran Church, Carbondale. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Carbondale. She enjoyed bowling in a league with friends. In their many years of marriage, they traveled to many states to see family. They enjoyed camping at their land in Susquehanna County with family. They also went on many vacations to Niagara Falls, Canada with their children. She loved spending time with her family and will be missed dearly.

Surviving are five children:  Darrell Bellamy, Texas; Ronald Bellamy and wife Linda, Lancaster; Scott Bellamy and wife Tammy, Georgia; Karen Gosh and husband Michael, Mayfield; and Jennifer Huston, Carbondale; one brother, Charles Williams, Damascus; one sister, Lola Crown, Honesdale; 12 grandchildren: Kaia (Warren) Woods, Jason (Melissa) Bellamy, Jarrod Bellamy, Joshua Bellamy (and partner Ray Dumont), Scott Jr. (Candice) Bellamy, Damian (Megan) Bellamy, Seth (Breanna) Bellamy, Nichole (Christopher) Gosh-Bennett, Brittany Gosh, Kevin Jr., Kraig, and Kodie Huston; 13 great-grandchildren: Harrison, Shelby, Aubrie, Ryleigh, Cole, Keagan, Mckinzie, Lilou, Ava, Grayson, Ryker, Rhett, and Ellie; several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by two sisters: Kate Reynolds and Joyce Schmidt; one brother, Walter Williams Jr.; a daughter-in-law, Leslie Bellamy; and a son-in-law, Kevin Huston Sr.

Funeral service will be held on Sunday, July 16, 2023, at 2:00 p.m. in the Lawrence A. Gabriel Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc., 74 N. Main St., Carbondale. A viewing will be held from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the service.  Interment, Canaan Corners Cemetery, Waymart.
