Victor T. Mallory

September 8, 2023

Victor T. Mallory, of Dalton, died Friday, September 8th at home, surrounded by his wife and children. His wife is the former Valerie Gow. They would have celebrated their 30th wedding anniversary on September 11th.

Born in Scranton on June 29, 1953, Victor was the son of the late Dr. Victor and Louise Mallory. He was a graduate of Cathedral High School, Keystone College, and Bloomsburg University. Victor was employed for 34 years by Calvert Laboratories as a toxicologist. Prior to his retirement, he established the Vivarium at the Geisinger Medical College.

Victor was a kind soul and always quick with a joke. Some of his happiest memories were hunting and fishing with his son and his best friends. His family meant more to him than anything else in this world and he was beyond proud of his children.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children, Alyssa and Victor; sister, Valerie (Bob) Cooper; mother-in-law, Gayle Demming; sisters-in-law, Vicki (Joe) Frisino and Vanessa (Jason) Polovitch; as well as nieces and nephews – Zachary Frisino, Cameron and Connor Crock, and Pat Regan.

He was preceded in death by his sister, Marcia Regan and her husband, Pat; father-in-law, Edison Demming; and brother-in-law, Todd Crock.

The family would like to thank Dr. Digwood and the staff from Allied Home Hospice for their kindness, love, and support as he made his journey to heaven.

To respect Victor’s wishes, there will be no funeral or memorial service held.

Arrangements, Lawrence A. Gabriel Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 74 N. Main St., Carbondale, under the direct guidance of Andrew A. Yurkanin Jr., funeral director.
