Tina M. (Thurston) Wormuth

Tina M. (Thurston) Wormuth, 65, Carbondale, died peacefully at home early Wednesday morning surrounded by her loving family.

Born in Binghamton, NY, daughter of the late Clayton and Anna (Carey) Thurston, she was a devoted mother and grandmother that loved spending time with her family, especially her grandkids.

The family wishes to thank Hospice of the Sacred Heart for their extraordinary, compassionate care Tina received.

Tina’s surviving family members include: 2 daughters, Melissa Durst and husband Sean, Carbondale, Monica Wormuth and companion Jeremy, Carbondale; 1 son, Matthew Wormuth, Carbondale; 1 sister, Pearl Cramer, New Milford; 9 grandchildren: William, Shauna, Riley, Makenzie, Kalob, Liam, Emma, Bennett, and Aria; former husband, William Wormuth, Carbondale; several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

She was preceded in death by a son, Michael Wandell; a sister, Gloria Snyder; and 3 brothers, Roy, Floyd, and Rick Thurston.

Viewing will be held on Saturday, November 25, 2023, from 4 to 6 p.m. at the Lawrence A. Gabriel Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc., 74 N. Main Street, Carbondale, with services at 5:45 p.m. by Sarah Mountain, Chaplain of Hospice of the Sacred Heart.
